Baby Girl:
"Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb."
Me:
It's pretty crazy to be able to see the baby kicking. Reminds me of the alien movie, except I'm sure my alien will be lots cuter than the one in the movie. I'm starting to notice patterns of sleep/awake cycles. She is always awake and kicking between 3:30-6 ish. Its so odd.. how does she do that? the same time every day, no matter what I've eaten, (or not eaten) or if I'm napping, or running around at work. She also wakes up around the time Jake leaves for work in the morning. Again, How does she know? Growing a person is an amazing thing. I'm constantly surprised by how my body just knows what to do. She was a group of cells, and now she can hear, kick, feel, and suck her thumb! Crazy.
I ordered a stroller and car seat this week. Its weird being excited to get a new stroller. I never thought I'd be doing this but it is really exciting.
